- Please do not park or leave vehicles in the street so that emergency vehicles, plows and salt trucks can get through. If you live in Huntington Village, please park in our municipal parking lots and off the streets.
- Report blocked roads and other road emergencies online at HuntingtonNY.gov/highway or to 631-499-0444.
- To report a power outage or a downed wire, call PSEG Long Island at 800-490-0075 or text OUT to PSEGLI
AFFECTED TOWN SERVICES:
- SENIORS: The Senior Center has postponed meal pickup and delivery until Wednesday. If you have any questions or concerns, please call 631-351-3304.
- TRASH PICKUP: RESIDENTIAL trash collection is cancelled for Tuesday; MUNICIPAL refuse collection is on as scheduled for Tuesday; refuse is continuing to assist Highway in plowing efforts; the remainder of the week’s recycling and trash collection remains unaffected; households with cancelled trash pickup may put double the allowable amount of trash curbside on their second collection day this week. Please visit HuntingtonNY.gov/trash for the latest information or call (631) 351-3186 with any questions.
- RECYCLING CENTER: The Recycling Center, located at 641 New York Avenue, Huntington, is opening at 12:00 PM Tuesday. Please call (631) 427-6377 with any questions.
- HART bus service starts at 9:00 AM Tuesday; please avoid non-essential travel. If you have any questions please call HART bus at (631) 427-8287 or the Department of Transportation and Traffic Safety at (631) 351-3053. - PARKS & RECREATION: Dix Hills Ice Rink will open Tuesday at 2:30 PM. All athletic fields and golf courses are closed until further notice.
Since the spread of COVID-19 happens mostly in the home, be extra cautious and wear a mask if you are going to be in close quarters and at home with at-risk family.
Put batteries in your flashlights, charge your phones, keep pets indoors and please check on elderly neighbors – if you do so in person, please keep your mask on to protect them and help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
