Zone Change For Assisted Living Facility Approved: Report
The Huntington Town Board approved the zone change Tuesday despite bi-partisan opposition, according to a report.
MELVILLE, NY — The Huntington Town Board approved a zone change on Tuesday to give the go-ahead for an assisted living facility to be built in Melville, Pam Robinson of Huntington Now reported.
Councilman Eugene Cook was the lone dissenter in the 4 to 1 vote of approval. Several residents, including Suffolk County Legislator Susan Berland, and Republican Hector Gavilla, who lost the 2019 race for Berland's 16th District seat, opposed the zone change, according to Huntington Now.
