The city's Housing Connect website is now accepting applications for the new development with apartments as low as $494 per month.

Those looking for cheap housing in central Harlem have a new option as of Monday. The city's Housing Connect website is now accepting applications for the new development at 275 W. 140th St. known as Strivers Plaza.
There will be 53 apartments available through the lottery which began Monday and will go through Sept. 23. All applications can be submitted at the Housing Connect site. There are, however, strict limitations on income levels for everyone applying.
The majority of the apartments won't be ultra-cheap, but some fall into that category.
