Asked To Step Out Of Car On I-95, Man Drives Off Instead: NYSP
New York State police said they found probable cause to search the vehicle after stopping it for a vehicle or traffic violation.
HARRISON, NY — Being asked to step out of the car was too much for a Massachusetts driver stopped on I-95 Monday, according to New York State police.
Police said they stopped a car at 1:45 a.m. for a vehicle and traffic violation. While interviewing the occupants, they concluded they had probable cause to search the vehicle.
However, when instructed to get out of the car, driver Jammy Alphonse of Everett, MA, instead started the vehicle and pulled away, police alleged.
