Harrison, NY – The Moving Harrison Forward slate of candidates—Frank Gordon for Mayor and Rachel Berkey and Adam Weiner for Town Board—has been endorsed by the Building and Construction Trades Council of Westchester and Putnam Counties, the leading advocacy organization for fostering job opportunities for working class families on local infrastructure projects. The Council’s union affiliates include Teamsters Local 456, which represents approximately one-third of Harrison’s full-time municipal employees.

Moving Harrison Forward’s dedication to local hardworking families is affirmed by the abundant labor support it has received to date, including the Council and the Westchester/Putnam Central Labor Body AFL-CIO, which together represent over 130,000 union families in Westchester and Putnam Counties.
In a joint statement, Gordon, Berkey and Weiner said, “We are humbled and honored to receive the Council’s endorsement. Working families are our essential partners. Without them, we cannot achieve the economic growth and vitality that will make Harrison a better place to live. We support the Council’s efforts to enable its members to reside in the communities where they work.”
