Coyotes Won't Keep Harrison Indoors
Last week's poll results are in, and it looks like Harrison residents will not be changing plans after the Rye coyote attacks late last month.
Despite two coyote attacks in Rye late last month, Harrison Patch readers said they do not intend to change their outdoor routines in fear of another attack, according to last week's poll.
After a week of voting, 80 percent of participants said that they do not plan to change their outdoor plans, while only 20 percent said that they intend to do so.
Animal news has been quite in the area since a 3-year-old girl was attacked in Rye on June 30. There was however, a bear sighted in Purchase a few times over the past week.

Unlike the Rye coyotes, that bear has not threatened any people.
This week's poll asks readers if they intend to follow a request by Harrison Mayor/Supervisor Joan Walsh to conserve water because of a shortage in the area.

Walsh asked residents last week to avoid using water for non-essential things like washing cars and water lawns on alternating days. She said in a statement last week that although the request is at this point completely voluntary, failure to comply could result in mandatory regulations.
An outline of the voluntary water-use reductions can be found here.
This week's poll simply asks: Will you follow the recommended guidelines?
The poll will close on July 19 and all answers are completely anonymous, so hurry up and share your thoughts!
