State police stopped a car on I-95 Oct. 21 for traffic violations.
HARRISON, NY — A Mamaroneck man is due in Harrison town court to answer a felony charge of driving while intoxicated. New York state police patrolling I-95 said they stopped a car at 5:33 p.m. Oct. 21 for a vehicle and traffic violation.
They concluded that the driver of the vehicle, Liam McGuire, 36, was intoxicated. McGuire was transported and processed at the state police barracks in New Rochelle, where he refused to submit to a breath test to determine the alcohol content in his system, police said.
They found McGuire has a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years. He was subsequently charged with felony Driving While Intoxicated as well as multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations. McGuire was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Harrison Court on Nov. 5.
