Free Assistance With Health Insurance Enrollment
Free assistance available for residents and small businesses to enroll or renew health coverage with the "NY State of Health Marketplace."

HARRISON, NY— Free assistance is available to help residents and small businesses understand how to enroll or renew their health coverage with the “NY State of Health Marketplace.” The help is provided through a navigator program, which offers in-person assistance in English or Spanish at no charge.
The 2017 open enrollment period for the Marketplace will began on Tuesday, November 1st, and runs until January 31st for all new applicants. For health coverage to begin on January 1st, residents must enroll in a plan by December 15th.

Residents who are currently enrolled in the Marketplace should receive information about renewing their coverage for 2017 directly from the NY State of Health Marketplace. Open enrollment for individuals renewing their health coverage begins on November 16th.
County residents wishing to enroll in a Qualified Health Plan (QHP) can do so during the open enrollment period. Enrollment in Medicaid, Child Health Plus, the Essential Plan and the Small Business Health Option is available all year round.

Navigators are available to meet at public sites, such as libraries, health department offices, community based organizations and government agencies. Weekday, evening and weekend hours are available at 25 sites across the county by appointment and certain locations offer walk in hours.
