Harrison Election Update: Two Races Too Close To Call

Here are the unofficial results from the Westchester County Board of Elections.

HARRISON, NY — In Harrison, that odd New York creature known as a town/village, most incumbents held their seats. But while very few votes separate the candidates for town council, challenger Lauren Leader leads. Incumbents Frederick Sciliano and Carlo Riccobono are within 34 votes of each other for the second seat.

In another close contest, 122 votes separate town justice candidates Pasquale G. Gizzo and Patricia A. O'Callaghan.

For Supervisor/Mayor, incumbent Ron Belmont picked up 54 percent of the vote. He had been challenged by Frank D. Gordon. On the Democratic slate with Gordon, Lauren Leader and Michael Romita sought the two seats on the town council. Running with Belmont were incumbent Frederick Sciliano and Carlo Riccobono.

There was also a contest for Harrison Town/Village Justice. Incumbent Pasquale Gizzo was challenged by Patricia A. O'Callaghan.

Results from the Westchester Board of Elections are unofficial until all absentee and affidavit ballots have been counted and the final results certified.

  • Ronald W. Belmont - 3,358
  • Frank D. Gordon - 2,915

Harrison Council/Trustee (vote for 2)

  • Frederick W. Sciliano - 3,011
  • Carlo J. Riccobono - 2,977
  • Lauren Leader - 3,061
  • Michael N. Romita - 2,897

Harrison Town/Village Justice

  • Pasquale G. Gizzo - 3,104
  • Patricia A. O'Callaghan - 2,982

Harrison Town Clerk Jacqueline Greer was unopposed.
