Millwood Driver Arrested For DWI 3 Times Over The Limit: Police
A police stop for a traffic violation over the holiday weekend in Harrison resulted in an aggravated DWI charge for a driver on I-287.
HARRISON, NY — State Troopers say a Millwood driver who overindulged over the holiday weekend was at more than three times the legal limit when he was pulled over Sunday night.
Tyler L. Ferguson was initially pulled over by state police on I-287 in Harrison just before 11 p.m. because of a traffic violation, but police soon determined that the driver was intoxicated. After he was taken into custody, the 27-year-old's blood alcohol content was found to be 0.27 percent. In New York, a B.A.C of 0.08 or higher is considered over the legal limit.
Because of the extremely high level of intoxication, Ferguson was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. He was turned over to a sober acquaintance and released. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Harrison Court on June 22.
