Roadwork On Southbound I-684 Starts Monday

Weekday lane closures are expected on Interstate 684 southbound between Exit 2 and Exit 1 beginning on Monday through Friday. Crews will perform maintenance activities, weather permitting, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Anticipate delays between Route 120 and the entrance ramp to I-287, and seek alternate routes where possible.

Use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices, including signs.

Remember that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
