Semi-Truck Accident Closes Eastbound Cross Westchester at Hutch

Harrison, NY— An early morning accident involving a tractor-trailer has closed the eastbound lanes of Cross Westchster Expressway in Harrison. According to multiple sources, including News 12 Westchester's Nikita Ramos, traffic headed east on I-287 was initially being diverted away from the scene of the crash at exit 9N-S starting just after 4am.

By the time the morning rush hour commute kicked off, eastbound lanes of the Cross Westchester Expressway were once again open to traffic. A check of the nearby New York State Thruway Authority traffic camera at 7:48 this morning found traffic moving slowly in both directions with crews still on the scene.

So far, crews responding to the scene have not reported any serious injuries. Investigators are working to determine the cause of what appears to be a single vehicle involved accident.
