Stamford Man Faces Drunken-Driving Charge In Harrison
New York State police said the 32-year-old's blood alcohol level was almost three times the legal limit.
HARRISON, NY — A Stamford, Connecticut resident accused of drunk driving had a blood alcohol level almost three times the state limit, New York state police alleged Monday.
Police said they pulled a car over in Harrison at 2:45 a.m. Sunday for a vehicle and traffic violation. They concluded the driver, Yuriy Svistelnytskyy, 32, was intoxicated. They also discovered he was driving with a suspended license.
He was taken into custody, transported and processed at the state police barracks in Tarrytown, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.21 percent, police said.

Svistelnytskyy was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, and several Vehicle and Traffic Violations. He was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Harrison Court on Sept. 1.
