Stamford Man Faces Marijuana Charge In Westchester

He was a passenger in a car stopped on I-287 in the town of Harrison Saturday.

HARRISON, NY — A Stamford man faces a misdemeanor marijuana charge in Harrison. He was in a car that was stopped Saturday by New York state police on the Cross Westchester Expressway.

At 1:55 a.m. March 23, troopers stopped a vehicle on I-287 in the town of Harrison for multiple vehicle and traffic violations. They concluded upon interviewing the occupants, that they had probable cause to search the vehicle.

The passenger, Malvin Nunez, 25, was found to be in possession of approximately 42 grams of marijuana.

Nunez was taken into custody and transported to state police barracks in Tarrytown where he was charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana 5th degree; a Class B Misdemeanor. He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Harrison Court on April 16.
