Wegmans Wants To Fill Jobs Immediately: Open Interview Event

HARRISON, NY — Wegmans, the ultra-popular grocery store chain that's building its first Westchester location close to the Greenwich border, will hold an on-the-spot hiring session Oct. 17.

Though walk-ins are welcome, store officials said, job seekers are encouraged to first apply online at wegmans.com/careers. After completing an application, candidates will be interviewed on the spot.

"We bring new employees on board to begin training quickly after they're hired," Store Manager Matthew Dailor, who began working at Wegmans 25 years ago as a part-time parking lot attendant, said during the first wave of hiring in April. "Our commitment to in-depth training is the main reason we begin the hiring process so early. These jobs provide competitive pay with industry-leading benefits, flexible scheduling, and most importantly, a great place to work."

WHAT: Wegmans Food Markets is hosting an open interview hiring event, seeking to immediately fill multiple permanent, full-time jobs for its Harrison location. The new store opens in spring 2020 at 106 Corporate Park Drive near Interstate 287 and the Hutchinson River Parkway.
