This is a store worth wandering through. Of course, you can also order online for curbside pick-up.

HARRISON, NY — Wegmans will open its first store in the Hudson Valley on Wednesday.

Opening day, pushed back because of the new coronavirus outbreak, is finally here. The family-run supermarket company is putting the final touches on its big 121,000 square-foot store in Harrison at 106 Corporate Park Drive.

Wegmans is famous for its fanatically loyal customers, and many stores have big lines on opening day. If you are worried about lines, check out the streaming video going live on the website Wednesday.

You can use Wegman's new scan-as-you-go app to bag as you shop and simply link the list at the self-check out to generate a full receipt and pay.

When you don't have time, there's also shopping online and through the Wegmans Meals 2Go app, including curbside pickup or, if you're in one of the nearby zipcodes, delivery.

If you go:

The highways and side roads in the area can be confusing, specially because the store is off Westchester Avenue — which runs on either side of I-287.

Driving tips:

If you're coming north on the Hutchinson River Parkway, take Exit 26W to get onto Westchester Avenue westbound. Then turn right at Corporate Park Drive.

If you're headed west on I-287, take Exit 9N onto westbound Westchester Avenue and turn right at Corporate Park Drive.

If you're coming south on I-684, take the exit toward White Plains and follow the signs for Westchester Avenue. Turn left at the Butcher Bridge to cross over I-287 and get onto Westchester Avenue going east. Then turn left onto Corporate Park Drive (you'll cross over I-287 again).

If you're heading east on I-287, take Exit 9A onto eastbound Westchester Avenue and turn left at Corporate Park Drive.

Construction alert:

Corporate Park Drive is a very busy place with a lot of construction going on. You'll pass it on the way to the store.
