Westchester County Airport will be among 7 New York airports offering the coronavirus vaccine to travelers, neighbors and workers next week.

HARRISON, NY — Westchester County Airport (HPN) will be among seven New York airports hosting walk-in vaccine clinics next week.
The vaccines will be available on a first come, first serve basis. The vaccines are not just available to air travelers and airport workers. Anyone who would like the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine is welcome from May 24-28.

Gov. Mario Cuomo says the statewide initiative will build on the successful vaccine programs at transportation hubs. He says the airports are a logical next step in vaccination efforts to reach as many people as possible.

"Our vaccination pop-up sites have been instrumental in helping us reach more New Yorkers who need to get vaccinated, and given the success of our pilot program at subway and train stations across the MTA network,” Cuomo said, announcing the in-terminal vaccine clinics. “We are getting creative once more by bringing the vaccine to our airports. This vaccine is the best weapon that we have to defeat COVID, and we will go anywhere we need to get more shots into people's arms. If you are traveling through or working at one of these airports or just happen to be passing through and you still need to get vaccinated, I encourage you to make time to get your shot so we can finally defeat this virus."
Other New York airports participating in the program are:
- JFK International Airport (JFK)
- LaGuardia Airport (LGA)
- Albany International Airport (ALB)
- Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR)
- Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC)
- Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF)

The no-appointment-needed clinics will operate Monday-Friday for as long as supplies last. There is no need to pre-register. Contact individual airports for details about the hours and locations of the limited time mass vaccine events.
“These airport pop-up sites will only amplify opportunities to get vaccinated, and further educate people about why it's so important to do so,” Senate Transportation Committee Chair Tim Kennedy said. “By bringing these doses directly into transportation hubs that people use every day, we're intentionally dedicating resources to highly trafficked facilities and connecting directly with people looking to receive the vaccine quickly and efficiently."
