Westchester Home Names Design Award Winners

Westchester Home announced the winners of its 6th Annual Design Awards at a gala awards ceremony earlier this week.

From Westchester Magazine: Westchester Home announced the winners of its 6th Annual Design Awards at a gala awards ceremony last night. Excitement about the awards began when more than 35 top designers, builders and architects and their intriguing interiors, lavish landscapes and appealing architecture were featured as finalists in the magazine’s Spring 2017 issue and online at westchestermagazine.com/designawards. The winners were revealed live, on stage last evening by nationally known designer Vicente Wolf at the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College, Purchase, NY.

More than 200 guests mixed and mingled with Wolf and the region’s most outstanding interior designers, architects, landscape designers and building professionals during a pre-awards cocktail reception. The winners were then announced in 23 different categories along with 4 Readers’ Choice winners.

The judging for this year’s awards was a two-step process with a nomination committee who narrowed the hundreds of entries down to three finalists in each category. The winners were chosen by an industry-leading panel of judges which included Lindsey Coral Harper, Lindsay Coral Harper Interiors; George Snead, Wakefield Design Center; Francine Gardner, Intérieurs; Denise Davies, D2 Interieurs, and Margaret Mintz, Mintz and Partners, Inc.
