Woman Arrested After Brief Midnight Chase On I-287: Police
State police said they tried to pull a driver over for traffic and vehicle infractions.
HARRISON, NY — A brief police chase on I-287 Sunday resulted in the arrest of a Bronx woman, New York State Police said.
At 12:10 a.m., state troopers attempted to stop a car going through Harrison for multiple vehicle and traffic violations. The driver failed to comply, and a brief pursuit ensued, police said.
Once the vehicle stopped, troopers concluded the driver, Idalisa Roman, 40, was intoxicated. She was taken into custody and transported to state police offices in Tarrytown where her blood alcohol content was determined to be .18 percent, police said. The legal limit is 0.08 percent.

Roman was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and Reckless Driving; both Unclassified Misdemeanors; Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree, Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd degree and Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd degree; all Class A Misdemeanors.
She was released and is due in Harrison town court on Jan. 19.
