Work To Close Lanes On I-684 Late This Week

Various double lane closures are expected on Interstate 684 north- and southbound, between Exit 1 and Exit 3, Wednesday through Saturday.

That's the stretch between the Interstate 287/Split to Interstate 684 spur and Route 22. The work will be done daily April 24 - 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., while crews perform maintenance activities, weather permitting.

Anticipate delays and plan accordingly.

Use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices.

Remember that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
