5 More Years of Free Wifi at Brooklyn Bridge Park
The Parks Department announced a deal with AT&T to extend the service. Plus: New solar-powered cell chargers are now in the park, too.

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Visitors to Brooklyn Bridge Park will be able to enjoy at least five more years of free wifi, the Parks Department announced Tuesday.
The service, provided by AT&T, has been running in multiple parks since 2011, according to the Parks Department, with visitors logging on 8.6 million times since then.
In Brooklyn Bridge Park, the coverage extends to Piers 1, 5 and 6.

The park has also added two free solar-powered cell phone charging stations at Jane's Carousel and on Pier 1.
But remember: turn your phone off every once in a while so you can enjoy the scenery.
