SEE: Björk's Brooklyn Heights Penthouse On Market For $9M

The Icelandic singer is selling her "mansion in the sky" near the promenade.

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY — This apartment is apparently no longer Björk's utopia. The Icelandic singer has listed her sprawling Brooklyn Heights penthouse for $9 million, more than double what she and her ex paid for it nearly a decade ago.

Described as a "mansion in the sky" in the listing from Realtor.com, the 3,000-square-foot co-op at 160 Henry St. has a floorplan "divided into day and night spaces" with four bedrooms and a "greenhouse gallery," according to a six-day-old Realtor.com listing.

The 1924 home boasts a wraparound terrace, views of the Statue of Liberty and close proximity to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, the listing says.

The unit was last sold for $4.25 million in September 2009, according to StreetEasy. That's when Björk and her then-partner, the artist Matthew Barney, reportedly purchased it before their 2013 split. The singer bought Barney's share of the penthouse in 2015, Variety reported.

Born Björk Guðmundsdóttir, the singer toured this summer behind her 2017 album "Utopia." The luxe Brooklyn apartment isn't her only connection to New York — the Museum of Modern Art hosted a retrospective exhibit dedicated to her in 2015. She also previously owned a house in the Hudson Valley hamlet of Snedens Landing, according to Variety.
