Brooklyn Book Store Hosts Nazis Getting Punched Film Festival
Verso Books in DUMBO is hosting the "Fash Bash Bash" on Saturday, put together by The New Inquiry magazine.
DUMBO, BROOKLYN — Saturday is your day to watch a whole bunch of Nazis (other than Richard Spencer) get punched. Verso Books in DUMBO is hosting a film festival full of movies in which Nazis that get beat up are featured in the wake of the viral Spencer video(s)-turned-meme. The event will also be serving punch (get it?)
Patch has reached out to the organizers at The New Inquiry literary arts magazine, which is putting the marathon together.
"Fash Bash Bash is a film screening of clips from movies in which people are resisting and protesting fascism," organizer Ava Kofman told Gothamist in an email. "A dozen or so friends and contributors of the magazine will be selecting the clips from film history and introducing them briefly." Kofman said Inglorious Bastards will probably be included, as well as other historic cinematic clips.
