Brooklyn's Cat Cafe Is Hosting a Therapeutic Election-Night Party

As election results roll in for the most horrifying race in recent history, why not surround yourself with blissfully ignorant cat friends?

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY – At the Brooklyn Cat Cafe's election results viewing party on Tuesday, cat lovers will have a chance to escape the stress of the evening by watching the results alongside a host of blissfully ignorant cat friends.

According to the Cat Cafe website, the election night viewing party will provide drinks, food, felines and — for the evening's slower moments — cute cat videos to help pass the time until more results roll in.

The party starts at 8 p.m. at 149 Atlantic Ave. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. Beer will be provided by Brooklyn Brewery, so partygoers must be 21 or over.

Cafe management promises that, no matter who comes out ahead Tuesday night, their cat-filled viewing party will at least take the edge off what has been a pretty traumatizing election cycle. And if you can show proof you voted, the cafe's mascot, Newt, will even give you a kiss.

Reason enough to make it to the polls on Tuesday.
