Brooklyn Forum Asks 'Affordable Housing For Whom?'
An upcoming event at the Brooklyn Historical Society will explore equitable housing and how to define affordable to begin with.

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A forum at the Brooklyn Historical Society will ask the question — "Affordable Housing for Whom?"
The event will feature journalist Jimmy Tobias, Housing Rights Initiative founder Aaron Carr, Program Coordinator at Families United for Racial and Economic Equality, Shatia STrother and Raquel Vazquez, Director of Housing Development at Joy Construction Corp.
The event will explore equitable affordable housing and how the city can create and maintain it for New Yorkers.

"In a city facing a never-ending housing crisis, how can ambitious goals for creating and maintaining affordable housing be realized?" the event post asks. "How do we define “affordable” to begin with?""
The talk will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the historical society's 128 Pierrepont St. location. General admission is $10 and membership admission is $5.
