Butler Bakery Debuts In Dumbo

Northern Brooklyn just got a sweet new addition.

DUMBO, BROOKLYN — Butler Bakery & Espresso Bar now has a second Brooklyn location at the corner of Water and Dock streets.

Michelin-starred pastry chef Ryan Butler unveiled his bakery baby this morning, when this video was posted to the café’s Facebook page:

The “neighborhood favorite” unites the sweet and savory with some interesting menu options, according to the bakery website.

The herb and chili scone, the sticky date muffin and the morning glory muffin aren’t exactly items you’d find on a typical breakfast menu, but they seem to be winning over Brooklynites throughout the borough: Butler’s banner location launched two years in Williamsburg at South Fifth and Berry streets and has received top marks from its customers since its inception.

It seems Butler is the one to thank for the one-of-a-kind menu.

“Ryan loves translating the flavors and techniques of the fine dining world into casual cafe fare,” the bakery website reads.

Butler Bakery & Espresso Bar is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
