DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN, NY — Downtown Brooklyn will hopefully stay dry as a screening of "Singin' In The Rain" kicks off weekly film series outside a ritzy new apartment tower Tuesday night. The Brooklyn Academy of Music's BAMcinématek is curating four weeks of movies on The Plaza at 300 Ashland offering a behind-the-scenes look at the entertainment industry.

The series, dubbed "That's Entertainment!" begins Tuesday with Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds' musical classic detailing one story of Hollywood's shift from silent films to talkies.

The free screenings, also sponsored by the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership and Two Trees Management, start at 7 p.m. on each Tuesday in August.
