Condos In Superman's Brooklyn Heights Home Are 85 Percent Sold
The Standish luxury building, where Matt Damon reportedly bought a condo inside, sold 85 percent of their units.
BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY — A luxury condo building that served as the home for Superman's alter ego sold 85 percent of their apartments just more than a year after going on the market, developers announced.
The Standish — which took over the former 171 Columbia St. hotel — netted $100 million in deals for the one- to five-bedroom apartments inside, including a reported $16.6 million from a penthouse sold to Matt Damon.
The spot only has three of the 29-units left for sale including a $1.2 million one-bedroom apartment and a $2.3 million three-bedroom home, a spokeswoman for developer DDG said.

The building was the home to Clark Kent, Superman's alter ego in the DC Comics, who lived in the fictional apartment 5H and mentioned in Arthur Miller's play "Death of a Salesman."
It previously was the Standish Arms Hotel until developers DDG and real estate firm Westbrook Partners turned it into a condo building.

Apartments went on sale in September and the Real Deal reported that Hollywood star Damon was in contract to buy the penthouse unit inside for a record-setting price. Move-ins in the building started at the end of last year, according to the developers.
