Construction Update: The Pierrepont Rises in Brooklyn Heights
The new two-tower mixed-use building is rising on the block bordered by Montague, Clinton and Pierrepont streets.
BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — Sixteen new affordable housing units are coming to Brooklyn Heights in 2018 with the development of The Pierrepont, a new two-tower apartment building rising on Montague and Pierrepont streets, according to reports.
The Pierrepont will feature two 19-story towers at 189 Montague St. and 146 Pierrepont St., which will be connected by a common two-story retail space, according to developers.
The Pierrepont Street tower has now reached seven stories as construction continues to climb, YIMBY reported on Tuesday.

The building's 86 apartments — which will be predominately two- and three-bedrooms — will each have a washing machine and dryer, hardwood floors, porcelain tile bathrooms, and kitchens with stainless-steel appliances, stone countertops with ceramic tile backsplashes, according to the developers.
Twenty percent of the buildings’ apartments will be available to those making 60 percent of Area Median Income and are expected to hit the housing lottery some time before summer 2018, the Brooklyn Eagle reported.
