Off-Duty Cop Crashed Driving Drunk In Downtown Brooklyn: NYPD
An off-duty police officer was arrested Wednesday after a crash on Tillary and Bridge streets, cops said.

DOWNTOWN, BROOKLYN — An off-duty police officer was collared for drunk driving Wednesday after crashing his car in Downtown Brooklyn, police said.
Eugene Schatz, a 46-year-old NYPD officer, was charged just after 8 p.m. near Tillary and Bridge streets after getting into a car crash near the Manhattan Bridge entrance, police said.
Another car was involved in the crash, but exact details of the crash weren't available, an NYPD spokesperson said.

Schatz was charged with driving while intoxicated and refusing to take a breathalyzer test, said police. The spokesperson did not know what his blood alcohol content level was.
