Famed Architect Opens Large DUMBO Office
Bjarke Ingels Group moved their headquarters from Manhattan to a giant space at 45 Main Street.

DUMBO, NY — The "superstar" architect working on large projects around the city like the 2 World Trade Center tower relocated his headquarters from Manhattan to DUMBO this week.
The Bjarke Ingels Group, headed by the famed Danish architect Ingels, took over 50,000-square-feet of space at Two Tree's 45 Main Street building for the company's main office, a spokesman for Two Trees announced.

Ingels announced he would move his 250-team company to the neighborhood last year to take over space in the building, with a rooftop view of the bridge, formerly owned by the furniture company West Elm, Curbed Reported.

The Danish-born architect was called a "superstar" by Wired Magazine and has been behind several high-profile projects around the city including the planned 90-story 2 World Trade Center, the Via West 57 apartment building in Manhattan and condo towers next to the High Line park.
