Korilla Korean BBQ Spot Opens First Brooklyn Location
The eatery, which serves up Korean barbecue-inspired burritos and rice bowls, opened up their 2 MetroTech Center location this month.

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN, NY — A popular Korean barbecue food truck that has been serving up burritos and rice bowls at MetroTech Center for years moved into permanent digs this month.
Korilla BBQ opened their first brick-and-mortar location in Brooklyn at 2 MetroTech Center on Feb. 16 selling their mix of South Korean barbecue and Mexican food, a spokeswoman for the owners said.
The new 800-square-foot storefront — the eatery's third in the city — will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The eatery signed a 10-year lease for the 2 MetroTech Center space.

Korilla was started by Edward Song as a food truck in 2010 and began to park weekly in front of the MetroTech Center in 2015, owners said. They opened up their first non-mobile location in the East Village in 2014 and later expanded to Midtown East.
The Downtown Brooklyn locations lets customers choose their own burritos, rice bowls and salad bowls like the other spots, but will also sell "chef-curated bowls" and a larger selection of kimchi, Eater New York reported.
