Last Week To Snag A $886 Micro Apartment In Downtown Brooklyn
The housing lottery for 49 affordable apartments at the Caesura will close on Friday, Aug. 11.

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — This is the last week New Yorkers can apply for a micro-sized, affordable apartment in a new downtown Brooklyn development.
The housing lottery for the Caesura — a 49-unit, 12-story apartment building at 280 Ashland Pl. — will close on Aug. 11th, city records show.
Those chosen to live at the Caesura will have access to building amenities that include to a rooftop garden lounge, a fitness center, a community lounge with a kitchenette and game room, a bike room with its own tool station, a lending library and a laundry room.

The 123 apartments at Caesura each feature hardwood floors, quartz countertops, and keyless entries.
There are 13 micro apartments — seven $886-per-month units and six $1,482-per-month units — that are available to people who earn between $32,709 and $66,800 per year or $53,143 and $110,220 per year, respectively.

Three $1,078-per-month studio apartments are available to people earning between $39,292 and $66,800 per year and three $1,794-per-month studios are available to people earning between $63,840 and $110,220 per year.
Three $1,360-per-month one-bedrooms are available to households earning between $49,098 and $76,400 per year and three $2,255-per-month one-bedrooms are available to households earning between $79,783 and $126,060 per year.
Twelve $1,642-per-month two-bedrooms are available to households earning between $58,903 and $95,400 per year and twelve $2,715-per-month two-bedrooms are available to households earning between $95,692 and $157,410 per year in total.
