Organic Wine Ice Cream Floats Latest Brooklyn Trend
This could only happen in Brooklyn.

DUMBO, BROOKLYN -- Ice cream floats made with organic wine and local beer are coming to Brooklyn because of course they are.
Oddfellows Ice Cream Co., Brooklyn's own artisanal ice cream shop, plans to serve boozy slushies and wine floats its fourth location, which opened at 60 Water St. near Brooklyn Bridge Park earlier this month, owners told Patch.
Owners did not immediately respond to Patch's request for information about how exactly beer, wine and ice cream would be combined, but a press release provided enough detail to show the ice cream shop's first ever beer-and-wine program will tick all the millennial Brooklyn boxes.

The New York State Liquor Authority has not yet approved Oddfellow's license, so the ice cream artisans are currently serving up a non-boozy menu of 12 ice cream, sorbet and soft serve flavors — including yuzu pineapple green peppercorn, pumpkin spice, olive oil strawberry — as well as bigger desserts.
The float menu includes a Grady’s Cold Brew milkshake, Four & Twenty Blackbirds pie a la mode, and The Carousel, a Do-It-Yourself ice cream sundae inspired by the nearby Jane's Carousel.
OddFellows Ice Cream Co. has been earning accolades and critics' praise since founders Sam Mason, Holiday and Mohan Kumar opened their flagship in Williamsburg in June 2013. The company now has an ice cream sandwich shop in the East Village and a coffee and ice cream cafe in Nolita.
Oddfellow's DUMBO outpost will be open Monday through Sunday from noon until 10 p.m., said owners, who expect to begin serving boozy ice cream treats later this fall.
