The (Maybe) Albino Sparrow in Brooklyn Heights
I may have seen an albino sparrow in Brooklyn Heights in 2018. A story, link to an article, and question for the Patch community.

In August 2018, I saw what appeared to be a white sparrow on Henry Street in Brooklyn Heights, near what is now Pinto. As I wrote on my personal website, The New Leaf Journal, my effort to take a picture was thwarted by a passing car:
"From my quick glance, I detected no notable difference between the white bird and its fellow feathered friends other than its color. Perhaps it was a rare albino sparrow? I pulled out my BlackBerry Classic to take a picture of the possible albino sparrow for future reference. However, before I could take the picture, a car entered the scene, dispersing the sparrows in every direction."
Did I see an albino sparrow, or was the white sparrow-like bird in a host of sparrows something else entirely? Has anyone on Patch seen a white sparrow (or something else) in the Heights? See my full article on the story and let me know here or on my site's Guestbook if you have your own story.
