ICYMI: Murray's Cheese Founder Buys Two Brooklyn Heights Homes: Report
New York's favorite cheese man bought two red brick homes on Pierrepont Street and Columbia Heights after he sold Murray's Cheese to Kroger.

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — The founder of Murray’s Cheese sold his business to Kroger and bought two red brick homes in near the Brooklyn Promenade, according to reports.
Rob Kaufelt, who recently sold his iconic cheese store at 350-254 Bleecker St. in Manhattan to the megastore grocery chain Kroger, bought two multi-family houses in Brooklyn Heights for $11 million, Bisnow reported Thursday.
The building at 25 Pierrepont St. was built in 1856, has since been converted into a five-unit multi-family home and was last sold in 2011 for $3,550,000. The building at 161 Columbia Hts. was built in 1844, has 10 units, and was last sold for $2,950,000 in 2012, according to Realtor.com.

The French company Indev Real Estate sold Kaufelt the two buildings and the deal was brokered by GFI Realty represented both sides of the transaction, Bisnow reported.
