Oktoberfest 2017: Where To Celebrate In Brooklyn

Here are the borough's best beer-laden parties.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — October approaches and with it the excuse to drink large pints of German beer and, depending on the variety of your wardrobe, break out the lederhosen and dirndls. For those of you who can’t make a quick weekend getaway to Munich, here is Patch’s list of hoppy parties and festivals in Brooklyn. Shacktoberfest At The Brooklyn Brewery

Where: The Brooklyn Brewery at 79 N. 11th St. in Williamsburg

When: Friday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m.

What: Brooklyn Brewery teams up with Shake Shack for a celebration of burgers and beer. Be one of the first to taste Shacktoberfest, a beer brewed exclusively for Shake Shack. The first 300 people to RSVP and arrive will receive a beer and a burger.

The Last Day Of Summer Music And Beer Bash

Where: The Well at 272 Meserole St. in Bushwick

When: Friday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m.

What: There will be 33 local and out-of-state brewers serving more than 50 craft beers, including some never before tasted. The event will be catered by local restaurants

How Much: $75 a ticket


Live At The Archway: Oktoberfest

Where: Manhattan Bridge Archway at 155 Water St. in DUMBO

When: Friday, Oct. 6 and Saturday, Oct. 7

What: The Archway will be transformed into a traditional German “beer hall” with Oktoberfest-themed performances.

How Much: Free to attend, but buy your beer.


Oktoberfest At Brooklyn Crab

Where: Brooklyn Crab at 24 Reed St. in Red Hook

When: Sat. Oct. 7 at 2 p.m.

What: The crab shack’s backyard will host a party featuring five different breweries including Allagash Brewing Company, Brooklyn Brewery, Five Boroughs Brewing Company, Montauk Brewing Company, & Sixpoint Brewery.

How Much: Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door.


Oktoberfest At Radegast Hall

Where: Radegast Hall at 113 North Third Street in Williamsburg

When: Every Saturday during Oktoberfest

What: There will be male and female mug holding competitions, a ceremonial keg tapping, a pig roast, two bands and a DJ.

How Much: Free to attend, but buy your beer.


Oktoberfest Menu At Circa Brewing Co.

Where: Circa Brewing Co. at 141 Lawrence St. in downtown Brooklyn

When: From now until Oct. 21

What: The brewery and pizzeria will be serving wood-fired pretzels and bratwurst along with its signature brew.

How Much: As much as you drink.
