Here's the Photoville Nighttime Series schedule:
• Wednesday, Sept. 21: Opening Night
With “Battle of the Boroughs,” Photoville sets off to highlight the diverse stories that make up this amazing and complicated multi-cultural city we live in. The evening will be a playful (but serious) show of photographic sportsmanship — inviting one curator from each borough to select five photographers and a single (seminal) body of work about a local story or community.
• Thursday, Sept. 22: PBS’ POV (Point of View)
Audience members will have the opportunity to see a selection of short films and an inside look at PBS’s POV documentary series, with excerpts from “Pink Boy” and “From This Day Forward.”
• Friday, Sept. 23: An Evening with The New York Times (via Photoville) : Join New York Times photo editors who will share highlights from our photographic coverage of some of the year’s biggest stories: the presidential election and the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
There will be "a screening of a special tribute to the legendary Bill Cunningham."
• Saturday, Sept. 24: An Evening with National Geographic
With a focus on national parks, the evening’s main talk will be between photo editors Kathy Moran, David Guttenfelder, Charlie Hamilton James and Erika Larsen, and will center on their Yellowstone coverage. Before and after the talk, photos and videos from National Geographic’s other national parks coverage will be featured.
