BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — Quidditch, anyone?
Fleets of broomstick-wielding Quidditch players will descend on Brooklyn Bridge Park this Saturday to face off in a three-match series of Harry Potter’s favorite game.
Two U.S. Quidditch Association teams — the New York Titans and the Boston Knight Riders — will battle it out on the fields of Pier 5 at 344 Furman St., on June 10 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Unfortunately, there will be no flying unless one of the team members brings a kite.
The Major League Quidditch games will feature a host of wizard-loving athletes — men and women — who play the famous but before-now fictional game as best they can without flying broomsticks.

The players — three catchers, two beaters, one keeper, one seeker — will charge across the field with broomsticks clasped between their legs chasing quaffles and the golden Snitch.
Since tiny flying balls are also hard to come by in the muggle world, the role of the Snitch will be performed by an independent player, clad in yellow, whose velcro tail must be torn away for the game to end.
Sixteen teams from across the U.S. and Canada will compete in Major League Quidditch this year and the top 12 will travel to Texas for this year’s championship in August.
To catch New York’s own Titans in action, you can register on the Major League Quidditch website.
