BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — The world's first Häagen-Dazs is celebrating its 40th anniversary Saturday with four hours of free-scoop mayhem. (If that sounds overly dramatic, consider this: the official Häagen-Dazs mascot, Coneman, will be there.)
Everyone who drops by the store's 120 Montague St. location between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. will receive a free scoop.

What's more, one guest will win free ice cream for a year (or, more specifically, $480 worth of free ice cream, as a company spokeswoman confirmed), while others will win gift cards worth $10, $15 and $25.
The day also marks the official re-opening of the store after it was closed earlier this year for major renovations, as reported by the Brooklyn Paper.

To celebrate, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams will be on on hand for a ribbon cutting at 10:45 a.m.
And did we mention Coneman is coming?
