DUMBO, NY — A track fire in DUMBO snarled F train commutes early in the Friday evening rush hour, transit officials said.

The flames near the York Street station rerouted F trains along the A line in both directions between Jay Street-MetroTech and West Fourth Street in Manhattan, New York City Transit said shortly before 5 p.m.

One photo from the scene showed firefighters and straphangers crowding the station's aboveground entrance.
