VIDEO: 'Homeland' Films Fiery Scene In Downtown Brooklyn
Sunday's sunny weather provided a clear backdrop for an action-packed scene featuring gunshots, explosions and a presidential motorcade.

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN – "Homeland," the Showtime thriller starring Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin, got some good Brooklyn weather to film this weekend. The show filmed an action-packed scene in Downtown Brooklyn on Sunday afternoon featuring exploding cars, many gunshots and a presidential motorcade, video showed.
The scene was filmed between Adams and Court streets. The fire was real, but it was not dangerous for people walking or living nearby, the man responsible for the special effects told Brooklyn Paper. They had filmed the motorcade's explosion the week before.
Carrie Mathison, Claire Danes' character, lives in Bed-Stuy this season. The show has filmed several scenes in the neighborhood in the past few months. This one looked almost real.
