Xposure To Host Pop-Up Blog Highlighting Creatives Entrepreneurs

Xposure, a digital platform promoting entrepreneurship through the exposure of art, will launch with a live blog activation on Friday, June 29 from 8pm to 12am ET at Legendary Republic on 258 Johnson Ave in Brooklyn, New York. The initial launch is the first of a series of pop-up blogs to further Xposure’s mission to inspire communities of color through stories of profound young professionals operating with their passions. During the event, attendees will enjoy an art party that showcases live art, artwork, photography, and performances from creative entrepreneurs to be featured on the blog. “Xposure is my passion and a solution to highlighting creatives of color who are often overlooked in mainstream media,” said Korpo Jonel, Creator of Xposure. “Through Xposure, I hope to raise awareness about creatives of color in New York City and across the country, ultimately inspiring people through their work.”

In New York City, the lack of creatives of color is astounding, as CUNY’s Guttman College found 80.5% of artists represented by the galleries are white, according to a recently published study. The college analyzed the demographics of 1,300 artists represented by New York City’s top 45 commercial galleries. Xposure presents a unique opportunity for creatives of color – artists, photographers, performers, and more – to be featured on the blog and generate awareness of their art, services and talent.
