$1 Million Mega Millions Ticket Sold On LI; Jackpot Hits $850M
A lucky LI store sold a $1 million ticket for Friday night's drawing. No one hit the jackpot, though, so it rises to the third largest ever.

HICKSVILLE, NY – A Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million was sold at a Long Island deli, the New York Lottery said in announcing the results of Friday night's drawing.
The lucky ticket, which matched all five winning numbers and missed just the Mega Ball, was sold at Hick's Piccolo Gourmet Deli at 99 Levittown Parkway in Hicksville. Seven other $1 million winning tickets were sold nationwide, but no one hit the $750 million jackpot. The jackpot for next Tuesday night is $850 million, the third largest lottery jackpot ever.
The winning numbers for Friday's drawing were: 3-11-12-38-43, Mega Ball 9. The second-prize winning ticket sold on the island was a "Quick Pick," meaning the numbers were picked at random by the lottery terminal.
