Arrest Made After Slew Of Nassau Break-Ins, Thefts: Police
Police say they arrested the man responsible for breaking into a gas station, salon, ice cream shop and bar.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A Levittown man has been arrested after police said he broke into a Hicksville gas station Sunday morning and was responsible for a slew of break-ins and thefts in the area.
Nassau County police were called around 4:15 a.m. Sunday for an alarm at Speedway on Newbridge Road, near Stewart Avenue. An officer saw a silver Mercedes-Benz S500o on the property. A glass window was shattered near a register in the booth. The officer then saw a man standing next to the driver's side of the Mercedes-Benz.
Lawrence Yodice, 61, of Flamingo Road, was arrested. Police said he is responsible for the following break-ins and thefts:

- Tuesday, Aug. 25— J Thomas Salon in Levittown
- Saturday, Sept. 12 — Harmony Bar & Grill in Levittown
- Saturday, Sept. 12 — Carvel in Hicksville
Yodice faces charges of four counts of 3rd-degree burglary, two counts of petit larceny, two counts of 4th-degree criminal mischief, 3rd-degree criminal mischief, 2nd-degree criminal mischief and 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
He will appear in court when medically practical.
