Cantiague Park Pools to Open for Summer Season in June

The Cantiague Park pool facility in Hicksville will officially open for the summer season on Monday, June 27, Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano announced.

Nassau County’s outdoor swimming pools are located in Hicksville, Wantagh, Lido Beach, Roslyn-North Hills and North Woodmere.

All county pools are open daily through Labor Day and include various conveniences, such as lockers, dressing areas, showers, concession stands, lounge and deck chairs and sun shelters.

Cantiague Park, located at West John Street east of Cantiague Road, will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call the park at (516) 571-7056 fore more information or go here.

Cantiague Park daily pool fees:

• Resident adult with Leisure Pass, $8
• Resident child with Leisure Pass (4-17 years of age), $6
• Resident senior, disabled, vol. firefighter, ambulance corps auxiliary police, veterans with Leisure Pass $4
• Non-resident adult, $25
• Non-resident child, $20
• Family ($250), individual ($100) and senior ($55) memberships are also available.

*A Leisure Pass is required for residents to receive the resident rate.

Cantaigue Park, along with North Woodmere Park and Wantagh Park offer “water theme” facilities that incorporate Olympic-size swimming pools, diving pools, “kiddie” pools, interactive water-play areas and water slides.

Christopher Morley Park offers a large swimming complex such as an Olympic-size pool, diving tank with boards, and a kiddie pool. Nickerson Beach Park in Lido, a 121-acre oceanfront park, is comprised of two small pools as well as kiddie pools.

• Wantagh Park, (516) 571-7460: Open daily from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Located at: 1 King Road, Wantagh.
