Firefighters Extinguish Bathroom Fan Fire At Hicksville Building
The Hicksville Volunteer Fire Department was called Tuesday for smoke coming from the roof of a building.

HICKSVILLE, NY — Firefighters were called Tuesday for a fire at a Hicksville building.
Around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, the Hicksville Volunteer Fire Department was called for smoke coming from the roof of a building on Herzog Place, near Broadway. Firefighters found smoke on the second floor of a two-story building.
The Syosset Volunteer Fire Department was called for an additional laddertruck to the scene. A fire in a bathroom fan was extinguished before it could spread to the attic.
