Police said that the man “lost consciousness for a brief period,” and when he awoke, he noticed that his cell phone and an “undetermined amount” of money had been stolen from him. Several good Samaritans helped him, and eventually, a relative arrived and drove him to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for a cut lip, and called 911, police said.
The first suspect has been described as a black man about 30 years old, who was wearing a gray sweatshirt, and a red mask, police said. A description for the other two suspects was not available to police.
