Here's How Much Money Hicksville Candidates Raised In 2020 Race

HICKSVILLE, NY — Candidates who appeared on Hicksville ballots in 2020 each raised thousands of dollars in the weeks and months leading up to Election Day. That includes candidates of the state Assembly, Senate and U.S. Congress.

Using the latest publicly available data from the New York State Board of Elections, Patch compiled a list of how much money each candidate raised — and spent — in 2020. Here's what we found.

Assembly District 15

As of Oct. 19, the campaign for Democratic challenger Joe Sackman had raised far more money than incumbent Republican Michael Montesano.

Montesano holds a comfortable lead in the race with nearly 32,000 votes to Sackman's roughly 20,000. Thousands of absentee ballots have not been counted in the race.

Senate District 7

As of Oct. 19, incumbent Democratic Sen. Anna Kaplan's campaign had raised far more money than Republican challenger Dave Franklin.

Kaplan holds a narrow lead in the race with about 61,000 votes to Franklin's roughly 57,000. Thousands of absentee ballots have not been counted in the race.

3rd Congressional District

As of June 30, incumbent Democratic U.S. Rep. Tom Suozzi's campaign had raised far more money than Republican challenger George A. D. Santos.

However, Suozzi trailed Santos by a razor-thin margin on Thursday with about 134,000 votes to roughly 138,000. Thousands of absentee ballots have yet to be counted.

As of Oct. 14, former Vice President Joe Biden had raised far more money than President Donald Trump.

As of Thursday, Biden led Trump in the popular vote with 72.4 million to Trump's 68.9 million. Numerous votes remained uncounted nationwide.
