Hicksville Bone Marrow Drive Looks To Save Life Of 9-Month-Old
The drive, held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is for baby Elias, who suffers from a rare disease called NEMO.

A bone marrow drive will be held in Hicksville on Saturday, May 5 to help save the life of nine-month old baby Elias Argirdkastritis who is suffering from a rare disease.
Elias has NEMO (nuclear factor-kappa B essential modulator deficiency syndrome), which affects his skin and immune system, making him more susceptible to severe and life-threatening bacterial infections. The disease, which only affects boys, makes minor illnesses life-threatening.
Elias was diagnosed in October and is only the twenty-second registered NEMO case in the U.S.
